The Japan-America Society of Central Ohio (JASCO) is pleased to invite you to its 28th Anniversary Gala on Thursday, April 25, 2024. The Gala will be held at COSI, located at 333 W Broad St, Columbus, OH 43215. The event will begin with a cocktail reception at 6:00 P.M., followed by the program, which will begin at 7:00 P.M.

Join us in recognizing Takashi Takenaka and Hidaka USA for their contributions in introducing Japanese culture to our community.

Takashi has been bringing an array of Japanese food and culture to the Central Ohio community through Japan Marketplace for over 30 years. Through his passion and service, Japan Marketplace has grown to include six shops and the Yokoso Center, a free community center. For his work in establishing a center of Japanese culture and community in Central Ohio, Mr. Takenaka will be receiving the Bradley M. Richardson Award.

For over 30 years, Hidaka USA has been an integral part of the Central Ohio community. It's more than just a world-class manufacturing firm, it's also an incredible community partner, planting over 100 cherry blossom trees and dedicating itself to giving back to the community. Hidaka USA will receive the JASCO Corporate Partnership Award for their tireless work building bridges between Ohio and Japan.
