Winter 2023 Beginning I part 4 Japanese class - CANCELLED

Come join us every Tuesday evening and learn some Japanese language skills with JASCO!

The course focuses on oral communication, with some practice with reading/writing including up to 50 kanji and everyday Japanese culture. Enrolling students may have some limited exposure to learning Japanese. Basic knowledge of hiragana & katakana is expected.

This is an introductory course, the 4th sequential class (Part 4) after completing Parts 1,2, and 3, for students who study Japanese in a formal setting for the first time. 

The course uses The Japan Foundation’s Marugoto: Japanese Language and Culture Starter A1 Coursebook.

This class is designed to help you reach CEFR Level A1 proficiency-Basic User. The aim of this course is to have fun learning Japanese while looking at photographs and illustrations, and experiencing Japanese lifestyle and culture. You will become able to take part in simple exchanges in different situations through listening to a variety of recorded conversations and doing speaking activities.

This course is also suitable for those who start Japanese learning with very little experience. The enrolling students are interested in formal training of the language learning, covering both spoken and written language skills.
